The Course

The goal is not that
you finish a course.

The goal is that by the time you are done, you are standing on something that does not move.

Formed and Sent takes the six first principles of Hebrews 6:1 to 2 off the page and into the bones of your life. The writer of Hebrews calls these elementary doctrine. That does not mean beginner and it does not mean optional. It means foundational. The stones everything else gets built on.

Repentance from dead works and faith toward God

Repentance is not condemnation. It is realignment. We look at what repentance actually is, what it is not, and why grace is the only thing that ever closes the gap.

Week 02
Buried and Raised
Instruction about washings (baptisms)

The plural in Hebrews 6:2 is doing real work. Baptism into the body of Christ, baptism in water, and baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is also where we say plainly where we stand on the Word and the Spirit. We are unapologetically both.

Hands That Carry Heaven
The laying on of hands

Ministry is not what professionals do on a stage while everyone else sits in rows. You are a carrier. Before this session ends, somebody will lay a hand on your shoulder and name what they see in you.

Week 04
The Day Everything Is Settled
The resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment

People brace for this week and then find it is the most hope filled one in the course. You are already raised. You are already seated. There is no condemnation. And nothing you do for Him is ever wasted.

Formed. Now Sent.
Discipleship and multiplication

You were not saved to sit. You leave this week knowing how to actually disciple somebody, with the words to say and the questions to ask, and you leave commissioned. Cleburne is the mission field and you are already in it.
