A decree is not a wish. It is not a bargain with God. It is you agreeing out loud with what He has already said about you. We do not declare in order to become. We declare because we already are. Identity first. Behavior follows.
Colossians · Rooted / All of Him · Summer 2026
I am rooted in Christ and complete in Him.
In Him the whole fullness of God dwells, and I have been filled in Him.
I was dead in my sin, and God made me alive together with Christ.
He canceled my debt at the cross and disarmed every power over me.
I have been raised with Christ, and my life is hidden with Him in God.
Christ in me is the hope of glory.
I do not add to Jesus. I draw all of life from Jesus.
He is supreme over everything and sufficient for everything.
So whatever I do, in word or deed, I do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.
I walk with victory, not to it, in Jesus' name. Amen!
Line by line, this is the letter to the Colossians: rooted and complete (2:7, 2:10), the fullness dwelling and filling (2:9 to 10), made alive with Christ (2:13), the debt canceled and the powers disarmed (2:14 to 15), raised and hidden with Him (3:1 to 3), Christ in you the hope of glory (1:27), all of Him and not Christ plus (2:6 to 8), His supremacy and sufficiency (1:15 to 20), and everything done in His name (3:17).
Read it out loud. That is the whole instruction. Speak it in the car, over your kids, in the room where the fear usually wins. We read this together every week of the series, right after the Scripture reading, until the room knows it by heart.
If you are new to this, start with the first line and stay there a week. Rooted. Complete. Nothing about you is provisional in Christ. Everything else in this decree grows out of that ground.
